Mr. Khe Ouk
I am a person with Disability (Polio in one Leg and Both Hands from birth). I hold a Bachelor's Degree, majoring in Law at the University of Management and Economics (UME). I enjoy OIC Cambodia because I see that most children with communication disabilities have access to services that draw people's attention to taking part in dealing with the issues. My position is Disability Technical Officer. This position will directly support program activities (training, resource development, meetings, and client-focused activities) as directed by the program manager, Program Technical Trainer, and Speech Therapy Technical Advisor. This can include leading training, facilitating meetings and workshops, translating documents or verbal exchanges, and completing internal quality and compliance procedures and documentation for procurement, monitoring, and implementing project activities. They will also represent OIC within network activities, ensuring professional communications inside and outside of the OIC team. The Disability Technical Officer will provide training support and facilitate the training within Family Care First. My position doesn’t have challenges, but I don’t have experience working with children with communication and speech therapy or with disabilities. Before I worked in OIC, I worked in CDPO, focusing on general persons with disabilities. But nowadays, I have committed to learning speech therapy from the OIC Cambodia's technical advisor, and I hope in the future have experience with speech therapy myself. One more, I will be an experienced disability-inclusive trainer in the future. I want to say that in the future, Cambodia country have accessible services for all persons with disabilities, no one left behind.
